About Us

Isaiah 58:10-11  And if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness,  and your night will become like the noonday. The LORD will guide you always;  he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land  and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.

Tough Questions

I got this question from a reader of my blog. It is a great question and one that others probably have too.

God’s Heart For the Poor – A Bible Study

God’s Heart for the Poor – Bible Study

Scripture is full of references to God’s concern for those who are impoverished, vulnerable and oppressed.

1 week home…

Since Markon has been home for one week, I thought I would sit down and reflect while I have a minute. Today we have some sweet friends (2 other YWAM Adoptive families that we met during Sarah’s adoption) coming over to hang out, and then tomorrow we leave for a vacation with them, so I will be M.I.A. for at least a few weeks. But, I wanted to share a few things… First off, Mark really is doing well, considering he is totally overwhelmed and probably in shock at his current situation. For the first 6 nights I had him, he screamed bloody murder for about 5 hours. It was hell....

We arrived home on July 4th, and what a great day! I am still catching up on life, so I have to make this short and sweet, but here goes… Markon is dong great, but a little scared, poor thing. Sarah came home at 10 months, and Markon is 15 mo old, and we can tell a difference in their adjustment. Poor little guy just seems a bit overwhelmed and frightened. We are doing everything in our power to make sure he feels safe and loved. My time in Ethiopia was short and sweet. A total of 5 days. I spent some time with our friends at the Korah church, did a bit of shopping, but mostly just laid...

We are Home!!!

Exhausted but blessed! Mark is more adorable and fun and perfect (aside from some sleeping issues!) than I could ever imagine. I was worried about Sarah not taking this well, but so far, our biggest issue with her is that she wants to CONSTANTLY hug, kiss, hold, carry and touch Mark, so this is a bit overwhelming for him. She wants to feed him, play with him, do everything with him. It is really rather cute, and I will take this over her hating him any day. More to come later… To exhausted to think straight. Thanks for the love and support! Love, Kameron

Tomorrow at 4am we leave for the airport. I depart at 6am and will land in Addis on Friday evening. Tonight Jason and I started laughing when I mentioned how pleased I am that my travel time to Ethiopia is only 29 hours (as compared to some of our other longer routes to Addis). Since when did 29 hours of travel come close to reasonable! I really can’t believe that the end is near and in less than 3 days I will be with our son. It is surreal. I won’t be able to update my blog until I get home (I am not bringing my computer), but rest assured that I will need prayer for rest and for...
