And this is why…

Every once in a while it strikes me… Mark and Sarah really are living miracles.

Not just the miracle of adoption and how God provided in amazing ways.

But the  miracle that they lived. That they survived and are here with us, a family. I won’t detail their stories here, but when I recall their beginnings or watch videos like this, I am reminded of the precious gifts of our Ethiopian children, and the sad, unjust reality of how they entered life and what their birth moms endured.

This past week I started my first on line class with Mercy In Action, to become a CPM (Certified Professional Midwife) and serve women, children, families, and communities in developing countries. I now have 5 friends who have joined me on this endeavor, and have also signed up with Mercy In Action with the sole intent of loving and serving those overseas.

Today I came across an incredible video called Birth is A Dream: Maternity in Africa. I was in tears within the first 60 seconds. It reminded me of why I am doing this. Why we (Jason, myself and even our kids) are willing to sacrifice time and money for people we don’t know. Why it is important and worth the sacrifice.

Psalm 140:12 “I know that the LORD secures justice for the poor and upholds the cause of the needy.”

I encourage you to take a few minutes to watch this beautiful video.

Birth Is A Dream

In His alone,

Kameron
