Finally Home!

We arrived home on July 4th, and what a great day!

I am still catching up on life, so I have to make this short and sweet, but here goes…

Markon is dong great, but a little scared, poor thing. Sarah came home at 10 months, and Markon is 15 mo old, and we can tell a difference in their adjustment. Poor little guy just seems a bit overwhelmed and frightened. We are doing everything in our power to make sure he feels safe and loved.

My time in Ethiopia was short and sweet. A total of 5 days. I spent some time with our friends at the Korah church, did a bit of shopping, but mostly just laid low and hung out with my new little guy at our guest home.

With my sponsor family in Korah. Precious single mother to 3 young children.... so thankful we get to help her....

Precious boy! Here I am sweeti! I am your Mama!

Markon with his Nanny at the transition home.

Finally I have my boy!

First night with Mommy. After a good bath, and clean jammies, time to play in Mommy's shoes. Typical 1 year old!

Markon and Pastor Abdissa (our attorney) at the Thomas Center going away party.

Playing ball in the courtyard of our Guest Home.

Time to go home... On the plane, playing with headphones

After nearly 30 hours of travel, and NO sleep for Mommy, we are home!!!!

On our way home from the Airport! Finally everyone is here!

Jason and I just can’t believe how well Mark is fitting in with our family. It is just so right. We are so very, very thankful that the Lord called us to this little boy, and that we said “yes”. We can’t imagine what we would be missing out on if we had doubted and said “no”.

Thank you for your prayers and love.

Now I gotta go shower, clean and start breakfast before my 4 kiddos are up!

Love,

Kameron

  1. Your words have so blessed me like usual! This brought tears to my eyes (and I’ll tell ya, I don’t cry! ;) ) “We are so very, very thankful that the Lord called us to this little boy, and that we said “yes”. We can’t imagine what we would be missing out on if we had doubted and said “no”.”

Amen and Amen. My word right now is YES! I pray we have the courage to see it through. What an amazing ride with Jesus.

  2. Look at that family! You guys are so awesome and this is so unbelievable to see

  3. Ha!!! So, I just decided to check in with my old friend Kameron and see how your second adoption was going – looks like I picked the perfect day to do that!

Congrats!!! I’m so happy for you all. Markon is a beautiful little slice of heaven!! I hope his adjustment is quick and his momma gets some much needed rest ;0)

God Bless you Kameron, I’m so very thrilled your family is all together.

    Love,
    Mary
